Philosophical Ideas(plus a surprise)

Welcome back to the more you learn the more you earn. Today, we will be focusing on philosophical ideas from those who are where we are trying to be financially. To paraphrase the first “rule”, the true test of a man is not determined through comfort and convenience, but through conflict and controversy. You might get a false sense of a person or situation when everything is going well. It is when things are not going so well that you either rise to the occasion or fall off. It is when you really get to form an opinion on someone’s character. Do not look at controversy as a bad thing, but a learning experience and a test of your character and all involved parties. The next four rules can be summed up as the four agreements. Those are: be impeccable with your work, do not take anything personal, do not make assumptions, and always do your best. To be impeccable with your word means to say that you are going to do something and do it. When you are stripped of everything else, you have your word. This also means to tell the truth. In most situations, what is done in the dark will finds its way to light. Leading an honest lifestyle is healthy and freeing because you know that at the end of the day, you are telling the truth. The next of the four is to not take things personal. What this means is that when someone has a sour attitude, it has nothing to do with you and more to do with them and their interpretation of things. With that being said, you have to be careful with what you say and who you say it to. Society is more and more sensitive than what it used to be and you can find yourself being scrutinized for expressing your opinion. The next agreement is to not make assumptions. I interpreted this as going in with expectations or any preconceived notions. You reduce your probability of being disappointed by going in free from assumption and instead, enjoying the moment for what it is. To wrap it up, always do your best. If you put your all into whatever situation you find yourself in, you will not feel regret because there is nothing more that you could have done. Regret is probably one of the worst feelings you can feel. Do not fall victim to yourself by not doing your best. I am going to attach a PDF version of your surprise at the bottom. You can trust me, I am just a random on the internet ;).
